Green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant too however it varies from black tea by the way it is treated once picked. Once picked to stop the tea leaf oxidising (going dark like black tea) the oxidation process is stopped by applying heat to the leaves. When this is done correctly it helps retain all of the chemical composition of the fresh leaves hence green tea being so well known for it's potential health benefits.

Our Chun Mee green tea is also know as 'precious eyebrows' due to the way the leaves are lovingly rolled when drying and resemble an eyebrow shape. We pride our Chun Mee as being a lovely non bitter green tea that is super refreshing and is delightful to simply watch the tea leaves unfurl.
